Central ITV visited BHX on Friday 6 March 2009 to film a
feature on aircraft enthusiasts - "spotters!!" - and their role
in assisting airport security via BAESS
- the "Birmingham Aviation Enthusiasts Security Scheme"

set up in Sheldon Country Park to catch the action shots....

.... PC Ian Drewett, the BAESS liaison officer at BHX, had brought
the Airport Police "buggy" to explain how they patrol the park
.

Filming then moved to the "Aviation Experience" in Terminal 1 at
BHX - Keith Wilkinson gets an explanation demo of SBS from David....

.... and is soon hooked on "techno spotting"!!

Back to basics - or at least an air band radio - as he interviewed
a number of the "Aviation Experience" regulars....
