Guernsey parking up for the night on stand 82

Cheltenham "Gold Cup" week resulted in the usual influx of Irish
visitors including Westair Hawker 800XP EI-WXP

Ecureuil II G-BYZA was a morning visitor to the Elmdon apron
.
Emirates used Boeing 777-200 A6-EME on their lunchtime
service to Dubai in place of the usual 777-300ER
.

Tuesday 10 March 2009 - Kemble

Kemble is home to a growing number of airliners awaiting parting
out - Air India Airbus A310-300 VT-EVW, Monarch Boeing 757
G-MOND and Air India Boeing 747-300 VT-EPX are in the parting
out area next to the A429 Kemble to Malmesbury Road....

.... while Air Seychelles Boeing 767-200 N767HS/(S7-EXL) and
Air India Airbus A310-300 VT-EVX are parked on the north side
of the airfield
.
Air India Airbus A310-300 VT-EVW is the most recent arrival
while Boeing 747-300 VT-EPX has now lost three of its engines
.

BAEG on tour with Central ITV at BHX!!

Central ITV visited BHX on Friday 6 March 2009 to film a
feature on aircraft enthusiasts - "spotters!!" - and their role
in assisting airport security via BAESS
- the "Birmingham Aviation Enthusiasts Security Scheme"
.
Keith Wilkinson and cameraman John from Central ITV get
set up in Sheldon Country Park to catch the action shots....
.
.... PC Ian Drewett, the BAESS liaison officer at BHX, had brought
the Airport Police "buggy" to explain how they patrol the park
.
Keith Wilkinson, Central ITV, Justine Hunt, BHX, and
Gordon Stretch, BAEG/BAESS, in the park!
.
Filming then moved to the "Aviation Experience" in Terminal 1 at
BHX - Keith Wilkinson gets an explanation demo of SBS from David....
.
.... and is soon hooked on "techno spotting"!!
.
Back to basics - or at least an air band radio - as he interviewed
a number of the "Aviation Experience" regulars....
.
Steve Gensler of the "Aviation Experience" is interviewed by Keith
.
Mission accomplished! - Keith, Justine and Steve in the "Gift Centre"
