Saturday 30 August 2014 - Sywell

The "Light Aircraft Association" - LAA - held its annual rally at Sywell on 29-31 August 2014 -
the event attracted many visitors including  DH-84A Dragon G-ECAN wears the colour scheme
of Railway Air Service - it was built in Australia in 1943 as A34-59 with RAAF. After flying as
VH-AQU and then VH-DHX it was preserved at Bankstown NSW. It was brought to UK and first
flight after restoration was on 28 May 2003 and it is now based at Rendcombe in Gloucestershire

Cathay Pacific Boeing 747-467 B-HUB was a morning arrival from Manchester - its final flight....

.... prior to being parted out/scrapped - its had flown from Hong Kong to the UK the previous day
