A recent visit to Scotland allowed the opportunityto track down long time Coventry
resident Air Atlantique Convair 440 G-CONV. This left the Midlands on the back of
a lorry at the end of 2006 after being stored at Coventry since an engine fireback in
2001. It is now located in Reynard Nursery/garden centre justoutside Carluke in
Lanarkshire which is south of Glasgow and only a short distance off the M74.
More information on the location can be found http://www.reynardnursery.co.uk/
The good news is that while they are behind schedule the aircraft is being restored
with the aim of it being used as a guest house in due course.
